ABOUT US

At Interior Harmony, we love beautiful spaces. To us, that means spaces that inspire, delight and even soothe the human soul. They can be rich in color and texture, full of materials that are exciting to touch and stimulating to the eye. Or they can be pared down to their essentials and use a muted palette that puts your senses at ease. We love helping our clients discover the style sense that speaks to their soul. We create custom designs that are grounded in the core principles that have been used by architects and designers for centuries.

Our definition of beauty goes beyond how something looks, however. We care deeply about health – the health of every human and the health of the earth. With our extensive training in material composition and fabrication, we are acutely aware of the potential negative impact that many common furnishing and decor items can have on both your health and the environment. We are adept at eco sourcing and can guide you towards furniture, finishes and accessories that are better for your health and the environment. We strive to ensure that items demolished from your home don’t end up in a landfill but instead get a second life.

We named our firm Interior Harmony because we truly believe that it’s possible to create designs that are as healthy as they are beautiful. As sustainable as they are luxurious. Let us create a custom design for you that reflects your personality and the way you live, and also protects your health and the environment. The result will be a space you’ll feel good about in more ways than one.

As CEO and Creative Director of Interior Harmony, Christina possesses the right mix of talents to ensure your design project exceeds your expectations. She’s intuitive, thoughtful, and pragmatic, all the while having a big heart for the environment and the artists and artisans who make our world beautiful. Christina loves getting to know her clients and makes sure each one receives unique, personalized designs that are ideal for their health and well-being. She has experience working with top level executives, entrepreneurs, and busy families and understands the value of her clients’ time.

Christina’s passion for the environment harks back to her childhood. Her father was a soil conservationist and she spent much of her childhood outdoors, interacting with the land. She learned from her father how our environment can thrive and give back to us tenfold when we respect the land and its many resources.

Her childhood experience inspired Christina’s path as a designer. As a result, her expertise is broader than that of traditional designers. Christina has received extensive formalized training in sustainable material selection. She is a Green Accredited Professional (Green AP) and holds a certificate in Healthy Materials and Sustainable Buildings from Parsons School of Design. This means she is deeply knowledgeable about materials that are unhealthy for our bodies and the environment, and harmful to workers who manufacture and install them. Christina is well versed in smart alternatives and better options and can help you select eco and health-friendly finishes and furnishings for your home. In working with Christina, you will have a beautiful home and you will feel good knowing that the materials used were the best choices for your health and for the environment.

In addition to her design degree, Christina holds an MA in Humanities from the University of Chicago and a BA in Music from the University of Wisconsin. Christina’s other creative pursuits include piano, voice and music composition. She is also an avid traveler and hiker and loves spending time with her husband and two children.
